Hi,
Just felt brave enough to join the brave world of nnimap.
Please forgive me if raise subjects the were discussed before.
After years of working in the Unix environment I've moved to the winnt,
but still want to use Emacs as my primary Mail tool. Everyone else here
are using Outlook.
First My Environment:
GNU Emacs 20.4.1 (i386-*-nt4.0.1381) of Thu Jul 15 1999 on gridlock
Pterodactyl Gnus v0.95
nnimap 0.129
Here are the problems/questions I've encountered so far:
1. Moving files from one nnimap folder to another I get the message:
Signaling: (error "Buffer *nnimap move* has no process")
process-send-string(nil "2 UID COPY 978 \"Tarining\"
\n")
imap-send-command-1("2 UID COPY 978 \"Tarining\"")
imap-send-command("UID COPY 978 \"Tarining\"" nil)
imap-send-command-wait("UID COPY 978 \"Tarining\"")
imap-message-copy("978" "Tarining" " *nnimap* ")
ad-Orig-nnimap-request-accept-article("Tarining" "" t)
nnimap-request-accept-article("Tarining" "" t)
gnus-request-accept-article("nnimap:Tarining" nil t t)
eval((gnus-request-accept-article "nnimap:Tarining" (quote nil) t t))
ad-Orig-nnimap-request-move-article(978 "INBOX" "" (gnus-request-accept-article "nnimap:Tarining" (quote nil) t t) t)
nnimap-request-move-article(978 "INBOX" "" (gnus-request-accept-article "nnimap:Tarining" (quote nil) t t) t)
gnus-request-move-article(978 "nnimap:INBOX" "" (gnus-request-accept-article "nnimap:Tarining" (quote nil) t t) t)
gnus-summary-move-article(nil)
* call-interactively(gnus-summary-move-article)
2. Copying gives this trace:
Signaling: (wrong-type-argument number-or-marker-p (24))
imap-message-appenduid-1("Tarining")
imap-message-append("Tarining" #<buffer *copy article*> nil nil " *nnimap* ")
ad-Orig-nnimap-request-accept-article("Tarining" "" t)
nnimap-request-accept-article("Tarining" "" t)
gnus-request-accept-article("nnimap:Tarining" nil t t)
gnus-summary-move-article(nil nil nil copy)
gnus-summary-copy-article(nil)
* call-interactively(gnus-summary-copy-article)
3. Moving form nnimap to local nnml forder MOVED THE WRONG ARTICLE :-(
4. Is there a way to auto-split from nnimap to nnml? I want to keep the
bulk of my mail locally.
5. The installation makefile/script should try to use emacs if makeinfo
is not available.
Thanks,
Yair Friedman.
