You'll need Pterodactyl Gnus to run nnimap, please see

The current version is 0.87.

(Do anyone know of a URL for information about Pterodactyl Gnus?)

The latest Gnus also require a more modern Emacs so you'll need to get
Emacs 20.3 or XEmacs 20.0, or later.
