I think this is another side-effect of the problem I'm seeing (flags
not getting set in the IMAP store). FWIW, if you exit the group, quit
Gnus, and restart it, the summary will remember your marked messages
and show you the new ones. Of course, it's pretty annoying to have to
do this.. And the messages will not be flagged in IMAP itself, so
other mail clients will not know what you've read or replied to.
