here we go again: large uid's

I just compiled XEmacs on a 64 bit platforms and elisp integers are
sufficiently large to handle 32 bit UIDs.  So I guess ya all just need
to buy new hardware. :-)

Perhaps modern gcc can be convinced to make "long" a 64-bit type even
on 32-bit machines.
