I prefer the performance of Cyrus.  UWImap is nice because you don't
have to do anything special and you don't lock your users into IMAP.
With cyrus you are stuck with using IMAP (which is a good thing, but
your user's may not agree).

Depends on your environment.  If your users all use
netscape/outlook/whatever then the burden is simply on you the
administrator.  Choose the tool that works best for you.  If your
users have unix logins on the box and use elm and mutt then you should
probably do what the users want.
