problems with 0.84

I can't get to any of my folders .... :(

Here is a partial backtrace.  Looks like there are two many ^M's.  I
did manage once to get it to open a folder but then it would not show
me the body of the message only the headers :(

BTW I tried this with Gnus 5.6.45 and pgnus 0.66 same result
