Problem logging in

Hi all.

I'm new to this list and gnus-imap, so please forgive if this is a faq.

I just downloaded 0.32 and was eager to start using gnus again (I switched to
using netscape for IMAP some long time ago).  However, it seems I can't log
in.  In the server buffer I get:

     {nnimap:mail_server} (denied)


imap-log contains:

B1 CAPABILITY
* OK sutherland.IRO.UMontreal.CA IMAP4rev1 v10.234 server ready
* CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4REV1 NAMESPACE IDLE SCAN SORT AUTH=LOGIN
THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT
B1 OK CAPABILITY completed
B2 LOGIN blais PASSWORD
B2 BAD Missing required argument to LOGIN

where I replaced my actual password by PASSWORD.  My password contains a space
character, and I wondered if this was the cause of the problem.


nnimap-debug contains:
