The "standards track" method for doing this will via the SIEVE filtering 
language. In a practical sense you'll also need an ACAP server to store those 
SIEVE scripts on. Hopefully we'll start seeing deployment of this sometime 
this fall. (It'll depend on how long it takes to get SIEVE out of draft stage 
and into an RFC.)
