You can try to CREATE the IMAP mailbox yourself, but chances are you
won't have permissions to do this.

You could have your administrators create a top-level hirarchy "lists"
or something and give you permissions to create groups, add articles
etc in it.

This is for the Cyrus server, other servers may differ.
